App Terms of Service

Acceptance of these terms

These terms govern your use of the TripTribe mobile app. By using the app, or by creating a TripTribe account, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

This website (triptribe.org) has its own, separate Terms of Service covering the marketing site itself. If you're only visiting this website and haven't created a TripTribe account, that document — not this one — applies to you.

What TripTribe is

TripTribe is a shared trip-planning app, currently in early access, that lets you and the people you invite plan a trip together — destinations, itinerary, budget, and expenses.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to create a TripTribe account.

Your account

You're responsible for the information you provide when creating an account and for keeping your password confidential. Let us know right away if you suspect unauthorized access to your account. You may delete your account at any time from the app's settings — see our App Privacy Policy for what happens to your data when you do.

Trip content you and others create

You keep ownership of the trip details, itinerary notes, expenses, photos, and documents you add to a trip. By adding them, you give the other members of that trip permission to see them, and you give us permission to store and display them so the collaborative planning feature can work. Don't add content you don't have the right to share, or content that's illegal, infringing, or harassing toward others.

Because a trip is shared, content you contribute to it — itinerary items, expenses, activity history — stays part of that trip's shared record even after you delete your own account, attributed to an anonymized placeholder rather than your name (see our App Privacy Policy).

AI-generated suggestions

Some TripTribe Pro features use an AI model (Google Gemini) to suggest itinerary items or destinations. These suggestions can be inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your trip. They're a starting point, not verified travel, safety, or professional advice — always confirm important details independently before relying on them.

TripTribe Pro and payments

TripTribe Pro is an optional paid subscription that unlocks additional features. Purchases are made and billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by us — your subscription, billing, auto-renewal, cancellation, and refunds are governed by that store's own terms and policies, not this document. We use RevenueCat to determine and apply your subscription status inside the app.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app — including attempting to disrupt it, creating accounts through automated means, uploading malicious files, harassing or abusing other members, or attempting to access data or trips that aren't yours. We may suspend or terminate access for anyone who violates these terms.

If another member, their trip content, or an AI-generated suggestion violates these terms, you can report it directly from the app — our team reviews reports and can take action, including removing content or suspending accounts. You can also block another member at any time, which prevents future trip invitations between you; it doesn't remove either of you from a trip you already share.

Intellectual property

The TripTribe name, logo, and the app's own content belong to us and may not be used without permission, except as necessary to reference or link to it. This doesn't apply to the trip content you and other members create — see "Trip content you and others create" above.

Third-party services

The app depends on services we don't operate — the Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution and payments, RevenueCat for subscription management, Google Gemini for AI suggestions, and mapping, place, and photo content from OpenFreeMap, OpenStreetMap contributors, and Wikimedia. We're not responsible for outages or errors originating from those services.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is." While we work to keep it accurate, secure, and available, we make no guarantee that it will always be error-free, uninterrupted, or that AI-generated suggestions will be accurate.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TripTribe is not liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on AI-generated suggestions.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for violating these terms. You may stop using the app or delete your account at any time; see our App Privacy Policy for what happens to your data afterward.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of North Macedonia, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the app will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of North Macedonia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above.
